WWE SummerSlam is in the books and now the next big WWE PPV is WWE Payback and this show has gained a lot of significance as the loss last time it was held in 2020 was when Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship and ever since that night Roman Reigns has ruled WWE and this PPV is making a comeback after 3 years. It will be held on 2nd September at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

Jey Uso vs Jimmy Uso
This will most likely be the main event of the show as at WWE SummerSlam it was seen that Jimmy Uso betrayed his brother Jey Uso and his chance to win the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship and become the Tribal Chief. There was mixed reaction from social media but the ratings from last night’s SmackDown tell everything there is to know as the fans are interested in the story even more after this. And it seems that Jey Uso will take on his brother at WWE Payback and a very good guess will be that Rikishi who is their father will be the referee for this match.
Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura for World Heavyweight Championship
This match will be for the prestigious World Heavyweight Championship and this can also go on last if the WWE wants to make the World Heavyweight Championship feel more important. This is a new feud and one that has the fans Beth excited and this match will be an absolute banger and this can be the match of the night. Seth Rollins will get yet another quality opponent to test himself against and Shinsuke Nakamura will get the big match that he has wanted for some time.

Rhea Ripley vs Raquel Rodriguez for Women’s World Championship
This is a match that was supposed to happen at WWE SummerSlam but it will happen at this show. In hindsight it is good that this match will happen here as these 2 women will get all the time in the world to tell a great story In the match and they can beat the other and WWE should give them 20+ minutes and they will have the best women’s match of the year. Rhea Ripley needs a credible challenger and finally she will get that in Raquel Rodriguez.

Gunther vs Chad Gable for Intercontinental Championship
This is a match that was made official for Raw last week and this will be the final match that Gunther will have before he breaks the record for the longest reign as Intercontinental Champion. Chad Gable has been rising up the ranks and he has had amazing matches in these past few months and if WWE gives them 20 minutes then the Intercontinental Championship will get more prestigious and Gunther will have yet another banger in his title Reign.

Iyo Sky vs Asuka for SmackDown Women’s Championship
This is a dream match waiting to happen and it looks like it will finally happen at WWE Payback and Iyo Sky is the champion now and Asuka was the previous champion and the WWE fans Will finally get to see the 2 best wrestlers from Japan go head to head for a title. These 2 women have been in WWE for years and now they have a reason to feud and WWE needs to show this match the respect it deserves and give it 20+ minutes.

This will most likely be the first match for the new faction led by Bobby Lashley and Street Profits and they will take on The OC. This will be a good match which will go on for 10 minutes but the new faction will win this match and they will establish their dominance and Bobby Lashley and Street Profits will be a force to be reckoned with in SmackDown.

LA Knight vs The Miz
The hottest feud in WWE currently and it is clear that these 2 men will face each other at WWE Payback and LA Knight needs a big Singles PPV win and The Miz is the perfect opponent to go head to head with because The Miz has been through the journey like LA Knight has and he will do everything in his power to make sure that LA Knight looks like the Biggest Star. This match has the chance of being really good if they get 15 minutes to tell a good story.
