It is safe to say that this was the biggest SmackDown of the year and the best of the year without a doubt. Things happened on this show that the WWE fans would have never dreamt of happening. This show was in a way made possible because of the Actors strike which allowed tonight to happen
Let’s look at the Results of an unforgettable edition of SmackDown
The Rock comes home to WWE
Pat McAfee came out to start the show and that was a big surprise but this meant that the WWE fans started to dream that the music of The Great One Could hit because earlier in the day The Rock was in the Pat McAfee show. Austin Theory came out and then the moment happened as The Rock’s music hit and everyone lost their minds because he has not been seen in WWE for 5 years. And he was as good as ever as he roasted Austin Theory and finally hit him with the People’s Elbow and then Pat McAfee hit a People’s elbow as well. It was the most incredible start to SmackDown.
AJ Styles vs Finn Balor
This was a dream match happening at a SmackDown the fans were ready for this match. This was a great match but The Judgement Day were causing interference and the referee threw them out but Jimmy Uso helped Finn Balor beat AJ Styles. This was a story advancing match
The Rock and John Cena hug it out
After this another truly mind blowing moment happened as The Rock and John Cena came face to face and they smiled and hugged it out. It was great to see these once rivals become such good friends and hug it out. Their Matches at WrestleMania 28 and 29 were the highest Money makers in WWE history. They are the 2 greatest of all time.
Bobby Lashley and Street Profits best up LWO
Up next it was the LWO in the ring and Santos Escobar asked Rey Mysterio for a match for the United States Championship and Rey Mysterio accepted as they both respect each other. However Bobby Lashley and Street Profits attached both of them and they took out Santos Escobar and the crowd booed them heavily and they became heels in one night
LA Knight vs The Miz
This was a rematch from WWE Payback and this was the best match on the show as both LA Knight and The Miz took to each other and they had a long match where LA Knight showed that he has the crowd behind him and he can wrestle anybody and after a great match LA Knight won the match and he called out all the champions especially Roman Reigns and that did not go well with The Bloodline
John Cena on the Grayson Waller Effect
The show started with The Rock and it will end with John Cena. The only fans that are happy about the strike are the WWE fans. John Cena couldn’t get a word in before Jimmy Uso came out and then Solo Sikoa attacked John Cena but AJ Styles helped him and they took out Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. It is looking like this will be the tag team match at WWE Fastlane. Seeing John Cena and AJ Styles together reminds all the WWE fans of their truly spectacular 3 matches that they had against each other. This was easily the best SmackDown of the year and the first under the merger owned by Endeavor.
