WWE is in a good place as it contains the number of heels and babyfaces. However there are a number of babyfaces that need a turn to the dark side and being a heel would change the trajectory of their careers in WWE. The fans have started to boo these good guys and WWE should utilise that to turn them heel and allow them to showcase a new side of their character.
Let’s look at the WWE Superstars who should transition to being a heel in 2026
Cody Rhodes
The first name in this list has to be the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. The fans have become tired of Cody Rhodes winning everything and they want to see new faces winning big matches. WWE should take advantage of this opportunity and turn Cody Rhodes heel. This would allow him to take all the boos and he would be able to win all the Matches without caring what the fans think. Drew Mcintyre would finally be happy to have another top guy on his side. Cody Rhodes could show some of the heel personality he showed in AEW in WWE as the American Nightmare. This should happen in 2026.
Randy Orton
Randy Orton was born to play a heel. He was the best heel in WWE in 2009 and he was tormenting the favourites the WWE has that time. He had the Punt Kick that would send guys into retirement. He has been a babyface for far too long and although the fans love him, a last heel run with the Legend Killer will be absolutely incredible. Randy Orton can win the 15th World Championship in WWE and the fans of this generation will get to see what a heel Randy Orton looks like. There are babyfaces that he can feud against. Randy Orton is also in the final stages of his career and not turning him heel once before it all ends would be a mistake.
Lyra Valkyria
It is high time that Lyra Valkyria turns heel on Raw. She has been a popular babyface but In recent months things have not been going her way. She had a bad match at SummerSlam last year which she lost. She has not been getting a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Bayley so there has to be a point where it gets too much and Lyra Valkyria snaps into being a heel. She will get to show a completely new side to get character because since her time in NXT, Lyra Valkyria has been a babyface in WWE. That will also be a big test for her as a professional wrestler.
Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair has established herself as a credible babyface finally for the past year as a tag team with Alexa Bliss. They won the Women’s Tag Team Championship and the fans have finally started to genuinely love Charlotte Flair. However, Charlotte Flair is natural at being a heel. She has found success as a babyface finally which should enable her to turn heel once again and betray Alexa Bliss. Turning Alexa Bliss heel will make no sense as the fans will not boo her. Charlotte Flair was a heel at the start of 2025 and later in 2026, she would turn heel again. Charlotte Flair would want to win the 15th World Championship again.
Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn has been showing tendencies of turning into a heel in 2026. He has lost all the important title matches that he was a part of. Most recently he was contesting for the WWE Championship in Saudi Arabia which he lost convincingly against Drew Mcintyre. He was seen arguing with Cody Rhodes on SmackDown and that was a sign that Sami Zayn has had enough and he would turn heel because that would be the only way that he would win titles in WWE. Sami Zayn has been a babyface for 3 years and that is a long time to be in one character. Being a heel would allow him to feud with New talent.
