Since the ODI format is just 50 years old and not like test cricket which has been going on for almost 150 years, the sample size is relatively small but still there are some extraordinary partnerships in the history of Indian ODI cricket.

There have been some great batters In ODI cricket that have been Indians but a few among those greats have earned the stature to be called the Greatest of their generations and such batters have been involved in more history partnerships. In this match both Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were in a run scoring mood and both of them were scoring at over 100 strike rate and Sachin made a sensational 186 runs and Rahul Dravid scored his Highest ODI score of 153 runs.

 

2. Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid (318 Runs): 


Another legendary partnership In India’s ODI History and Rahul Dravid is the man again on there but this time his partner was Sourav Ganguly who put on a show for the ages at Taunton against Sri Lanka and he hit his highest ODI score of 183 and Rahul Dravid made an kursti 145 runs and their partnership helped India win the important world cup match.

3. Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja (175* Runs): 


This is one of those partnerships that is talked about a lot because what these two batters did that day was simply astonishing. 4. Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar (256 Runs):

5. Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni (256 Runs):

This partnership by the most dynamic duo in ODI history for India on this day was in a destructive mood against England and they smashed the Bowlers to all parts and both of them made incredible centuries with Yuvi getting his highest ODI score of 150 and MS Dhoni making 134 runs as well.

 

6. Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar (252 Runs): 


Another partnership featuring Sourav and Sachin on this list simply shows the stature of these two batters as ODI legends. Bowling attacks around the world feared then and they used to like on the runs and in this match Sri Lanka were the victims of their greatness as they again hit centuries each and won the match for India.

 

7. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli (246 Runs): 


This incredible partnership between the two modern greats of Indian cricket came in a run chase of over 320 runs and these two made it look like a walk in the park. Both wanted to finish the match quickly and that’s why they were hitting the ball to all parts. Virat Kohli made an outstanding 140 and Rohit Sharma stayed till the end to make yet another score of over 150+.

 

8. Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly (244 Runs):
