The 2022 UEFA Women’s European Championship is set to begin on 6th July after the tournament was shifted from the initial year of 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. With the Men’s tournament also facing disruption and a 12-month delay, the 13th edition of the competition is scheduled this year. There are 16 nations who will compete in the main tournament with England being the hosts for the second time.

Old Trafford will be the venue for only one match, the opening game between hosts England and Austria. Eight venues - Southampton, Milton Keynes, Brentford, Wigan & Leigh, Sheffield, Manchester City Academy Stadium, Brighton and Rotherham are selected for the eagerly anticipated contest of women’s football in Europe. The last two nations of the tournament will battle it out for the ultimate prize at Wembley Stadium in the final on 31st July.
