1. Albie Morkel (125 m):


The record for the longest six in IPL is registered in the name of the Chennai Super Kings all-rounder, Albie Morkel. It was in the 26th match of the inaugural edition, Albie hit this gigantic sixer against Deccan Chargers. Albie Morkel targeted Pragyan Ojha and hit him for this longest sixer. Albie scored 29 runs from 19 balls taking the team to a defendable score of 144/7 in 20 overs.

 

2.  Praveen Kumar (124m):

 

Name of Praveen Kumar among the longest six hitters will be an awe factor for everyone. But the second-longest side in IPL history is hit by this Indian pacer. Playing for the team Kings XI Punjab, Praveen hit this gigantic sixer against Mumbai Indians pacer Lasith Malinga.


 

3.  Adam Gilchrist (122m):


The name of this former Australian wicket-keeper batsmen will not amaze you as Gilchrist is very well known for his long shots. For the IPL team Kings XI Punjab, Gilchrist played this gigantic shot against Royal Challengers bowler Charl Langeveldt above the mid-wicket. In that match, Gilchrist ended up scoring a massive 106 runs from 55 balls making the team score 232/2 in 20 overs.

 

4.  Robin Uthappa (120m):


Robin Uthappa is the player with 11th most sixes in IPL history. His name also tops the list of the longest sixes in IPL. Back at the time when Uthappa played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, he played an enormous size of 120 meters against the team Chennai Super Kings.

 

5.  Ross Taylor (119 m):


It was in the Inaugural season of Indian Premier League, Ross Taylor wrote his name to the players with the longest sixers. Playing for Bangalore Royal Challengers in that season, Ross Taylor hit his fellow New Zealand player Jacob Oram to a massive sixer over deep mid-wicket. Taylor scored a total of 53 runs from 34 balls in that match which includes three boundaries and three sixes.
