Last Saturday (6 May), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star Virat Kohli created history in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 34-year-old Indian right-handed batter became the first to reach the 7000 IPL runs milestone.

It was the match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and RCB at Arun Jaitley Stadium (Delhi). During that game, Virat Kohli provided a solid start with an 82-run opening partnership with the skipper Faf du Plessis and also scored 55 runs off 46 balls (five fours).

Before that game, the right-handed batter Kohli was only 12 runs away from the 7000 IPL runs milestone. With a four to Axar Patel in the second over of the game, Kohli became the first player to complete 7000 IPL runs.
