In these events there are 2 disciplines which are the Snatch and Clean and Jerk. First in the snatch Mirabai Chanu got a total of 87 Kgs and then in the Clean and Jerk she got 115 Kgs which gave her a total of 202 Kgs and the silver medal. It wax redemption for her as well and she will look to win the Gold Medal at the 2024 Olympics. This was in the 49 Kg event.

2017 World Championship Gold Medal

After getting knocked out at the 2016 Rio Olympics she bounced back in style at the 2017 World Championship and won the Gold Medal there and told the world that she was back. In the Snatch she lifted 85 Kgs and then in the Clean and Jerk she lifted 109 Kgs which gave her a total of 194 Kgs and she won the Gold Medal by 1 Kg. This was a sensational comeback from Mirabai and it would only get better as the years went on. This was in the 48 Kg event.

2018 Commonwealth Games Gold Medal

Mirabai Chanu came into the 2018 Commonwealth Games 2018 and she was the star in this event where in the Snatch she lifted 86 Kgs which was the Games Record at that time and it was 10 Kgs more than the next best and then in the Clean and Jerk she lifted 110 Kgs which was also a Games Record and this gave her a total of 196 Kgs and this was also a Commonwealth Games Record. She was truly sensational and was 26 Kgs more than the next best lifter. This event was in the 48 Kg event.

2022 Commonwealth Games Gold Medal

Then came the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the Gold Medal was hers before the competition began but she wanted to show out and she did just that breaking her own Games record in every lift. In the Snatch she lifted 88 Kgs which was a Commonwealth Games Record and then in the Clean and Jerk she lifted 113 Kgs which again was a CWG record and this gave her a total of 201 Kgs in the event and she was 29 Kgs clear of the second best lifter. This was in the 49 Kg event.

2020 Asian Championship Bronze Medal

This was the most difficult medal for Mirabai Chanu as she broke the World Record for Clean and Jerk but only won the Bronze. Mirabai Chanu lifted 86 Kgs in the Snatch event and then in the Clean and Jerk she created a World Record by lifting 119 Kgs but it still was not enough for the Gold and she was just 2 Kgs behind the Silver Medal. This medal will mean a lot to Mirabai and she would want to better this performance in the next Asian Championship.
