Then the news came out a few days ago with the headlines starting from “Confirmed that WWE is selling to Saudi Arabia “ or “WWE Sold”. And thus came from random Twitter accounts and Reddit and every wrestling fan went to Twitter to express their anger and disappointment. No major news outlet reported it and still it ran for a day and it showed that Wrestling Journalism has gone to the ground.

WWE held talks with Disney and Tony Khan is interested in buying WWE

First let’s talk about the part that Tony and his father Shahid Khan are interested in buying WWE and this is reported by CNBC and this is true but Vince McMahon will not even entertain this idea because this will make WWE the number 2 and he will never want that so Tony Khan buying WWE is out of the question. Then let’s talk about the more credible potential buyer that is Disney. Majority of WWE fans are in favor of Disney being the one to buy WWE because it would give WWE so much more exposure and WWE could come to Disney Plus and they would give them a lot more viewers. Nick Khan met with Bob Iger who is the CEO of Disney and WWE would be much bigger under Disney and the potential crossovers with Marvel or Star Wars will also be possible.
