1) John Cena

John Cena is a multiple time United States Champion in WWE and he won his first United States title in 2004. However the reign that will be talked about is the one that he had in 2015 when he won the title at WrestleMania 31 and till then the United States Championship was a joke but everything changed after that moment. John Cena made it his mission to elevate the title and he started having Open Challenges every week for the United States Championship and there were some truly incredible matches that had against the likes of Cesaro, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Kofi Kingston and so many others. He brought the United States Championship to the centre stage and he held it till SummerSlam.


2) MVP

MVP is one of those rare United States Champions whom had one of the longest title reigns but he also had one of the all time best Reigns with the title. The year was 2007 and MVP was hot and he was given the responsibility of being the champion and he was the champion for almost a full year and he was the heel Champion and he had great matches against the likes of Christian, Matt Hardy and he lost the title a year later to Matt Hardy after a great feud and it us important how the champion loses the title.


3) Daniel Bryan

This was the first major title that Daniel Bryan and it was in the year 2012 when he was trying to get over with the fans and he won the United States Championship from the Mix and they had incredible matches for the title like they always did. And Daniel Bryan was able to showcase his wrestling skills as he had great matches against a variety of WWE superstars at the time such as Dolph Ziggler with whom he had bangers with the he also fought John Morrison and Red Dibiase Jr whom helped him become a better champion. Daniel Bryan got over with the fans and he had a 150 day plus reign as champion.


4) Rusev

Rusev debuted on the main roster in 2014 and he was as dominant as ever and he had Lana by his side who was his manager at the time but now they are a married couple. Rusev best everybody he faced and he was made to look like a monster and he quickly won the United States Championship and that title helped him get heat from the WWE universe because they cared for him now that he was the champion and he has encounters with The Rock on live TV as well as he had that great feud against John Cena where for the first few times he beat him but at WrestleMania 31, John Cena beat him and went on to have the best United States Championship reign of all time.


5) Eddie Guerrero

The last name in this list is one of the most legendary names to ever hold the United States Championship and the title was reintroduced in the year 2003 after the brand split and Eddie Guerrero was the first WWE superstar to win the title and he made the title instantly important Again by having quality matches against the likes of Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Chris Benoit whom he beat and had a great feud with and it was this great title reign that helped him win the WWE Championship just a few months later. The United States Championship is a stepping stone to bigger things for young WWE superstars and for since it is an opportunity to give back to the business and make the title feel important.
