Here, we will go through the records of most wickets in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. 


Clare Taylor (England Women): Former English right-arm medium pacer Clare Taylor recorded 36 wickets in 25 innings of the tournament (average 13.94). She recorded two four-fers in this competition, which she played between 1988 and 2005. 


Shabnim Ismail (South Africa Women): In her Women’s ODI World Cup career (2009-2022), former South African fast medium bowler Shabnim Ismail picked up 36 wickets in 24 innings (average 23.72), including one four-wicket haul.  


Carole Hodges (England Women): Former English off-spinner Carole Hodges picked up 37 wickets in 24 games in this tournament's history (average 14.86). While she played in the tournament between 1982 and 1993, she claimed three four-wicket hauls in this competition.


Lyn Fullston (Australia Women): Former Australian left-arm spinner Lyn Fullston had recorded 39 wickets in only 20 games (average 11.94) in the tournament between 1982 and 1988. In the competition history, she recorded two fifers and two four-wicket hauls.


Jhulan Goswami (India Women): Former Indian right-arm pacer Jhulan Goswami holds the record for the leading wicket-taker in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup history with 43 wickets in 34 innings (average 21.74), including two four-wicket hauls. She appeared in the tournament between 2005 and 2022.
