India U19 cricket team lifted the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2026 trophy after beating England U19 by 100 runs in the Final of the tournament. It was the sixth ICC U19 Cricket World Cup title for India U19, which set a new record for the tournament.
In the Final of the tournament on Friday (6 February), India U19 scored 411/9 in 50 overs after winning the toss. While the opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi slammed 175 off 80 balls, the other batters also provided strong support, including a half-century from the skipper Ayush Mhatre (53).
Chasing down the mammoth target, England U19 were all out for 311 runs in 40.2 overs, where the no.5 batter Caleb Falconer fought hard with his brilliant knock of 115 off 67 balls with nine fours and seven sixes, but it wasn’t enough for them to stop India’s dominance.
India U19 opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi completed 100 runs in 55 balls.
It was the second-fastest century in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup history. The record is a 51-ball hundred by Australian Will Malajczuk against Japan U19 earlier this edition.
It was the fifth fastest century in the Youth ODI history.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi slammed 15 fours and 15 sixes.
It is the new record for most sixes by a batter in an innings in the Youth ODI history. Sooryavanshi broke his own record of 14 sixes against the UAE U19 during the U19 Asia Cup 2025.
India U19 scored 411/9 in 50 overs.
It was the highest total in the history of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup knockout stages. The previous record was 349/6 by India U19 against Namibia U19 in the quarterfinal of the 2016 edition.
It was the highest total in any Final of the Youth ODI tournament. The previous record was 347/8 by Pakistan U19 against India U19 in the U19 Asia Cup 2025 Final.
