We are all set for an India vs New Zealand final in the 2026 T20 World Cup in Ahmedabad. India and New Zealand are old friends who meet in knockouts and provide a thriller for the fans to watch. They met in the 2019 ODI World Cup, which the Black Caps won, then they met in the 2021 World Test Championship final, which again the Kiwis won, and then India finally beat them in the 2023 ODI World Cup semi-final and the 2025 Champions Trophy final. This will be their first meeting in a T20 World Cup final, though.

Both teams have played extremely well to reach here, and they thoroughly deserve to reach this stage. India defeated England in the semi-finals by seven runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while New Zealand defeated the tournament favourites, South Africa, by nine wickets at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
