Trailing the series by 1-0, South African skipper Temba Bavuma chose to field first. With the help of twin centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad (105) and Virat Kohli (102), India managed to score 358/5 in 50 overs.
In reply, South African opener Aiden Markram scored a magnificent hundred (110), while the other batters also provided strong support, as the visitors chased down the giant total in 49.2 overs after losing six wickets. Proteas leveled the series by winning the fixture by four wickets with four balls remaining.
