India Women finished Group A of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 as champions after thrashing Pakistan Women, where the arch-rivals were bundled out for their record lowest WT20I total.
After Pakistan Women chose to bat first in the important game, they were bundled out for only 55 runs, their lowest completed Women’s T20I total. In reply, India Women chased down the target in 8.4 overs after losing three wickets.
Pakistan openers provided a good start with a 27-run partnership for the first wicket, as Muneeba Ali scored 13 runs and Shawaal Zulfiqar scored 14 runs. However, once that first wicket fell, there was no stoppage of wickets falling in that innings, as no other Pakistan batters managed to reach a double-digit score.
Among the Indian bowlers, the Player of the Match Shree Charani (3/7) and Prema Rawat (3/9) got three wickets each in their four-over quotas. Also, Deepti Sharma got two wickets with the bowling figures of 3.1-0-5-2, and Shafali Verma had one wicket (1/10).
In the second innings, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana fought with three wickets (3-0-17-3), but it was hardly enough to defend the paltry total. While the opener Shafali Verma was dismissed for 12 runs, her opening partner Smriti Mandhana (9) and the no.3 batter Pratika Rawal (4) also lost wickets cheaply. However, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (18*) and Deepti Sharma (12*) comfortably helped to chase down the target inside nine overs.

It was the lowest WT20I total (completed) for Pakistan Women. Their previous lowest WT20I total was 56 all out (11.4 overs) against New Zealand Women in Dubai (DICS) in 2024.
