FPL team of the week - GW7
Goalkeeper
Nick Pope (Newcastle United)
Nick Pope has been excellent in goal for Newcastle United, playing a huge role in the club's excellent defensive organization this season. Newcastle will be facing a struggling Forest side next, and there's a huge scope for both clean sheet and save points as well.
Defenders
Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth)
Senesi has been one of the standout defenders in the Premier League this season, and Bournemouth will be facing a struggling Fulham side at home. This makes Senesi a top defender pick in our best FPL team for this week's list.
Micky van de Ven (Tottenham Hotspur)
Micky van de Ven has had an excellent season so far at Spurs. In addition to his defending abilities, the Spurs defender is proving to be quite an attacking threat in the air as well. Spurs will be facing a Leeds time with a weak defense, and thus van de Ven looks like a solid option in your team.
Gabriel (Arsenal)
Gabriel is a player that'll probably be a part of most FPL team of the week lists. His knack of scoring headed goals in crucial moments plus Arsenal being the best defense that can ensure clean sheet points makes him an FPL favorite. Arsenal face West Ham next at home, and Gabriel is probably going to score you tons of points.
Midfielders
Tijjani Reijnders (Manchester City)
We expect Brentford vs Manchester City to be quite an open game that could have a few goals, and this makes Tijjani Reijnders a solid option, especially with his insanely cheap £5.8m price.
Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)
Antoine Semenyo is an FPL essential at this point, and thus we simply have to include him in our best FPL team for this week's list. He averages 1 goal contribution per game, and it would be simply foolish not to include him in your team at this point.
Bukayo Saka (vice captain, Arsenal)
Bukayo Saka is slowly getting back to his best, and the fixture against West Ham is a perfect game where he can grab a goal or assist and further boost his confidence.
Mohammed Kudus (Tottenham Hotspur)
Mohammed Kudus has a high chance of scoring his first Premier League goal for Spurs against Leeds. Even if he fails to do so, we still expect an assist or further points in the form of defensive contributions from him.
Forwards
Erling Haaland (Captain, Manchester City)
Erling Haaland is unstoppable right now, and not making him our captain in this FPL team of the week would be a crime. Expect more and more goals from him.
Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)
The old Ollie Watkins was back against Fulham, and with Aston Villa facing Burnley at home, this is probably the best time to have Watkins in your FPL team for the week.
Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal)
Viktor Gyökeres is struggling a bit at the moment, but you can see in each game that he's really improving a lot and that a few goals is all that he needs. The game vs West Ham looks perfect for him to add to his Arsenal account before the international break.
Bench
Martin Dúbravka (Goalkeeper)
Granit Xhaka (Midfielder)
Omar Alderete (Defender)
Trai Hume (Defender)
