The Premier League finally returns this weekend and with it, the Fantasy Premier League. The International Break might influence some changes within certain squads in order to combat fatigue. There’s also the fact that the UCL is up next week, so people have to be very prudent with their picks. Clearly the difficulty has risen with the FPL, especially with the Premier League’s current unpredictability. Without further ado, here are some of the best picks for the Premier League GW 13.

#1. Matthew Ryan (GK; Brighton):

Matthew Ryan is the most reliable goalkeeper and hence he has the most points. Even in games where he concedes, he manages to get more than the standard two points because of his saving. In fact, he has had over 2 in each match for the past 7 games. While he has a difficult game against Leicester, Ryan is a great choice for the long term, especially for 4.7 million.

#2. Ricardo Pereira (DEF; Leicester City):

Ricardo Pereira is the highest scoring defender after Lundstram( who most people have at this point). He finds a way to contribute more than the standard two points for almost every match. This is in large part due to Leicester City’s currently incredible run and the goalkeeper and CB’s like Soyuncu keeping the defence strong and tight. He also has a chance to score which he has done twice already. Definitely worth the 6.3 million.

#3. Dwight McNeil (MID; Burnley):

Dwight McNeil has very high value. As of now, he has accrued 49 points with 6 goal contributions and 5 clean sheets. He only goes for 6.0 million which makes him an even more viable FPL player. Last but not least, Burnley is up against Watford this week, a team that has been performing poorly so far this season. Hence, a win is anticipated along with some sort of contribution from McNeil.

#4. Callum Wilson (FWD; Bournemouth):

Callum Wilson is one of the best forwards for FPL. He has managed to get 54 points so far with a staggering 8 goal contributions. This makes him good in the long term, especially when you consider that he’s only going for 8.0 million. His upcoming match is against Wolves and while the opposition is far from being a pushover, you can expect some contributions from the Englishman.

5. Jamie Vardy ( FWD; Leicester City):

He is at the top of the table when it comes to points (92) with a jaw-dropping 14 goal contributions. He has scored 6 goals in the last 4 matches and is the top scorer in the league. Leicester City is on an incredible run and it would be extremely risky to not have him in your team. Lastly, he’s 9.6 million and while that is not exactly low, it’s a steal considering the amount of quality you get. Get him before the price goes past the 10.0 million mark.
