Cole Palmer Hat Tricks for Chelsea

The Premier League has seen many hattrick scorers over the years be it the league's legends like Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry etc or the modern day heroes like Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero and Erling Haaland. However, there is one player that is redefining the way of scoring hattricks so much so that he has suppressed his club legends with the feat of finding the net thrice in a single game. When Cole Palmer swapped the blue of Manchester for the blue of London in the summer of 2023, few predicted he would achieve remarkable heights within mere months despite having unrefuted talent to go miles.

Palmer instantly became the poster boy for one of England’s most storied clubs with the knack of scoring hattricks being one of the reasons he turned into a beloved character. Despite a dip in form in the latter half of the 2024-25 season and injury concerns that followed after a special Club World Cup campaign in 2025, the 23-year-old is redefining his standards and raising expectations at Stamford Bridge. His ability to turn games into personal highlight reels, especially scoring hat tricks in just one half of a game with his trademark 'Cold' finishes has made himself a spectacle to watch. The fear factor is he accomplished all of that at just 23 years of age showing that he is not just chasing club's record but the all-time Premier League greats with his rate of scoring hat tricks.

Here are all the four hattricks Palmer scored in the Premier League for Chelsea that truly froze the opposition:

Manchester United (April 5, 2024)

Palmer scored his first hattrick in his Chelsea career in one of the most chaotic games played in the Premier League in recent decade. It came at Stamford Bridge in front of his own fans against, despite their falling standards, an opposition like Manchester United and the one that saved the Blues from an impending defeat. The evening began smoothly with the swashbuckling forward scoring a penalty to give the home side a comfortable 2-0 lead within 20 minutes. However, Chelsea crumbled thereafter, losing the lead entirely before half-time and then trailing on the hour mark when Alejandro Garnacho completed his brace. The London club was desperate for some inspiration to rescue them from the situation with the clock running down and their star provided it with stoppage time heroics. In the 10th minute of extra period, Palmer buried a second penalty to level the scores and then produced the clutch moment just a minute when he received the ball from a corner unmarked at the edge of the box and let fly which took a deflection off Luke Shaw and into the net. Scoring the winner to mark the latest winning goal in Premier League history and complete a stupendous hattrick against the club he was a boyhood fan of, you cannot write a better script than that.

Everton (April 15, 2024)

Just eleven days into the next home game after his United heroics against Everton, Palmer unloaded another mesmerising performance that truly cemented his status as the undisputed talisman of the new Chelsea era and one of the best recent talents in the league. The attacking dynamo unleashed devastation in the Merseyside defence by scoring a spectacular hattrick inside just 29 minutes. It was not any other hattrick but a 'perfect' one. It took just 13 minutes for the poacher to open the scoring for the Blues as he finished delicately past England's number one Jordan Pickford with his left-footed curler before finding himself on the scoresheet again six minutes later with an instinctive header from a parried effort. He completed his hattrick in the most incredible way possible after intercepting a poor clearance from Pickford and lobbing him from almost 40 yards audaciously with his right foot, sending Stamford Bridge into delirium. It was the quickest ever hattrick scored in the club's history and it was suitable to come in this manner from a talent that will broke more records. However, that was not all as the player showed his composure from the spot again to score a fourth in the eventual 6-0 smashing triumph for the Blues. Palmer became the first player since Frank Lampard in 2010 to score four in a single game but he was only getting started.

Brighton (September 28, 2024)

A new season but the same spectacular 'Cold' Palmer returned with another thrilling four-peat at the Bridge and once again all came in the first half. A spirited Brighton side came to London in wish to be a thorn in the Blues's way but instead they became the victim of a masterclass. Palmer exploited every inch of space he received, leaving the defense sweating. However, his magic would arrive after the visitors took the lead in the game inside just seven minutes, once again proving he is the man to call in situations like this. It was a 10 minute blitz that left the Seagulls grasping for breath as the forward slotted coolly to equaliser matters in the 21st minute, after he was denied twice before first by the post and then by the offside flag. Soon, Chelsea were celebrating a lead as Palmer showed his prowess from the spot again before lightening up the stage again with a stunning 30-yard free-kick worth watching again and again, someway to complete his hattrick. Brighton got one back shortly after but no force seemed to halt the wrath of the England international as he confirmed it is his day as he added an incredible fourth strike shortly after to eventually win it 4-2 for Chelsea. Palmer wrote his name in the history books by becoming the first player to score four goals in a Premier League game before half-time, an incredible feat for the youngster.

Wolverhampton Wanderers (February 7, 2026)

However, the hat trick he scored in the 2025-26 season, which was his first outside of Stamford Bridge, had a different emotion attached to it as it marked his redemption arc. Palmer endured a hard time in the campaign ridden with injuries that restricted him from getting any momentum, having carried the jeers of a poor second half of the campaign last time despite his memorable performances in the FIFA's new club tournament in between. So, when Chelsea traveled to bottom placed Wolves, it became the occasion for his 100th appearance for the club and he made sure that it became a memorable one. Despite the pressure of delivering, Palmer broke all the shackles of criticism with his name that solely ringed in Molineux. In his trademark style, he dismantled the side destined to go down in another first half show with a hat trick inside 38 minutes. His efficiency from the spot was re-established as he converted two penalties in the game and scored a solo effort after dancing through three defenders to secure another blazing hattrick to his name. It was a third he scored in a first-half of a Premier League game, an unprecedented feat while he created a legacy of his own as his fourth hat-trick, eclipsed the three-hat-trick records held by Lampard, Didier Drogba, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink for Chelsea.
