Dominik Szoboszlai has undoubtedly been the best player for Liverpool this season. His outstanding versatility has resulted in him playing as a right-back numerous times this season due to Liverpool's Injury crisis in that position. During his interview with Marca, Hungary manager Marco Rossi said the following regarding Dominik Szoboszlai's dream of playing for Real Madrid:
Rossi is quoted as saying: "[Szoboszlai] always had one dream: to play for Real Madrid. Because of the very close and direct relationship I have with Dominik Szoboszlai since he started playing football as a child, Real Madrid has always been his dream.
"I don't know if he'll be able to take that step, because the decision depends on him and also on his club.
"I absolutely don't rule out the possibility of him staying at Liverpool and renewing his contract there, especially because he's highly valued within the club. He's a very important player for Liverpool, and Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world."
Our opinion on Dominik Szoboszlai potentially joining Liverpool
Sorry Liverpool fans, but we genuinely feel there is a high risk of Dominik Szoboszlai following the path of Trent Alexander Arnold and eventually join Real Madrid as a free agent. We had previously done an article on Szoboszlai's contract situation at Liverpool, and we mentioned even back then that Szoboszlai's statement on his contract renewal at Liverpool wasn't the most convincing one and one to worry if you're a Liverpool fan.
The fact that Vinicius Jr, Real Madrid's superstar player, has also now revealed that Szoboszlai is one of his closest friends as well, is undoubtedly another factor that should worry Liverpool fans. Trent Alexander Arnold has been best friends with Jude Bellingham, and that played a role as well in Trent joining Los Blancos.
