A new report from TEAMtalk has provided a huge transfer update on the future of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker has had an underwhelming season for Juventus so far, having scored only 3 Serie A goals in 13 league appearances. However, that hasn't stopped top European clubs from looking to sign a player who was once seen as one of the best young strikers in the world.
Vlahovic Future: Juventus forward might soon bid farewell to the Italian club
The report from TEAMtalk states that Dušan Vlahović’s future is still very much up in the air, despite growing talk in Italy that he is close to joining AC Milan. Sources close to the Juventus striker insist a move to the Premier League remains a strong possibility, with both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea staying actively involved in discussions.
The 26-year-old Serbian, still widely regarded by many as one of Europe’s top No.9s, is heading into the summer with his contract situation unresolved. That has made him an especially attractive option, as he could potentially be signed without a transfer fee. Spurs and Chelsea, long-time admirers of Dušan Vlahović, are being kept regularly updated and have not backed away from the race.
While AC Milan are confident of striking a deal, with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri reportedly keen on a reunion, Vlahović’s camp strongly disputes the idea that his future is already decided. They maintain that England excites the striker and that the Premier League remains a destination he is genuinely open to.
Crucially, his representatives have “never closed the door” on a move to England and continue to keep London clubs fully informed. With 116 goals in 297 senior appearances and more English clubs potentially entering the picture, the battle for Vlahović is shaping up to be one of the standout transfer stories of the summer, and far from a done deal.
Our Opinion on Dusan Vlahovic and his future
Dusan Vlahovic was one of the most exciting strikers in world football during his time at Fiorentina. In fact, Juventus weren't the only club interested in him at the time, as Mikel Arteta's Arsenal were also looking to sign the player. In hindsight, there is absolutely no doubt that the Serbian striker has made the wrong career choice, as Juventus have gone through a horrible downfall while Arteta's Arsenal are now arguably the best team in the world who are challenging for all major titles.
The good news for Vlahovic, however, is that he's still just 26 and has enough time to reach the world-class levels that he was expected to fulfil. It is still too early to give a proper prediction on where he'll be playing after the Summer transfer window finishes, but we'll bet our money at the moment for Vlahovic potentially joining a Premier League club.
