Arteta's playing career in the Premier League began with Everton, where he established himself as a technically gifted midfielder before later moving to Arsenal.
He made 284 Premier League appearances as a player, with his final years on the pitch coming as an Arsenal midfielder. Following his retirement, Arteta quickly transitioned into coaching and became part of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City coaching staff before returning to Arsenal as manager in December 2019.
