Mason Greenwood added to Manchester United's legacy last month, scoring his 16th league goal to be the club's all-time leading scorer among teenagers in the Premier League era.

Greenwood has made an enormous impact since breaking through the Manchester United youth levels to position himself as one of the country's best-talented youngsters, scoring 17 goals in all competitions last season, a joint-high for a Manchester United teenager.

5) Cristiano Ronaldo – 8



Cristiano Ronaldo joined Manchester United as a vivacious gifted adolescent after impressing the Red Devils' recruitment team during a preseason game between both clubs. Ronaldo would undoubtedly become the greatest player in the game during his six seasons at Old Trafford, winning three league titles, the Champions League, two PFA Player of the Year awards, and the Ballon d'Or.


4) Ryan Giggs – 12



As a 17-year-old, Giggs made his senior squad appearance in the pre-Premier League period, subsequently becoming a crucial component in a team that went on to become the division's dominant force under Sir Alex Ferguson. The former Wales international scored 12 Premier League goals while still in his teens, as a member of the group that won the title in the championship's debut season, and went on to win a total of 12 additional titles throughout a career that spanned more than two decades.

No athlete ever has made more appearances for United in all competitions than Ryan Giggs, who also scored five more league goals for the club in the old First Division.


3) Marcus Rashford – 13



Marcus Rashford burst onto the scene after scoring twice on his senior debut against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League. Rooney has voted the PFA Young Player of the Year after scoring 11 league goals in his first season.

Since entering into the first-team camp, the 19-year-old has received lots of good praise for the quality of his finishing, Mason Greenwood is very dangerous off either foot when given room to shoot. Greenwood's 17 goals last season tied him with Wayne Rooney, George Best, and Brian Kidd for even the most strikes by a Red Devils youngster in a single season, and he has recovered from a slow start in 2020/21 to score 11 goals in all competitions. Greenwood, who has already been capped by England at senior level, is a player who has the potential to be a star for both club and country over the next generation.
