Lotta Schelin (Sweden) – 5 goals in 2013
Swedish striker Lotta Schelin scored five goals in six matches in the 2013 edition. The hosts Sweden reached the semi-finals, where they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Germany. In that tournament, Schelin scored a brace twice, once in the group stage against Finland and once in the quarter-final against Iceland.
Jodie Taylor (England) – 5 goals in 2017
English striker Jodie Taylor scored five goals in the 2017 edition, while England were the semifinalists, where they lost against the Netherlands. Taylor started the tournament with a hat-trick against Scotland, while also scoring a match-winning goal against France in the quarter-final.
Inka Grings (Germany) – 6 goals in 2009
While Germany won their seventh UEFA Women’s Euro title in the 2009 edition, German striker Inka Grings recorded six goals in that tournament, as she became the first player to score more than four goals in a single edition of the competition's history. Grings scored two goals in the quarter-final and the final against Italy and England, respectively.
Beth Mead (England) – 6 goals in 2022
England won their first UEFA Women’s Euro title in the 2022 edition, and the English forward Beth Mead finished as the joint leading goal scorer in the tournament with six goals. Mead recorded a hat-trick in their group stage match against Norway, while she also scored their opening goal against Sweden in their 4-0 win in the semi-final.
Alexandra Popp (Germany) – 6 goals in 2022
While Germany were the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 runners-up, German striker Alexandra Popp also finished as the joint leading goal scorer in the tournament with six goals. Except for the final against England, where they suffered a 2-1 defeat, Popp scored in all five previous matches in the tournament, including scoring a brace in the semi-final against France.
