Will Lionel Messi win his 8th Ballon D’Or?

This is a simple question and the answer is also simple after the World Cup as there is no one who will be able to match his performance. Lionel Messi has already won 7 Ballon D’Or awards in his career which is the most amongst anyone in football history and this award is the biggest individual award for a football player all year and every player works towards winning it.

Before we answer this question, I want to say that watching Lionel Messi play football for more than a decade has been one of the biggest privileges of my life and I have seen magic and true genius on the sports pitch. Lionel Messi is a once in a lifetime football player and when he retires then it will be one of the saddest days in football. So let’s talk about this question

Yes, Lionel Messi will win his 8th Ballon D’Or

This is an easy answer as the Performance of Lionel Messi in the FIFA World Cup is proof enough that he will win his 8th Ballon D’Or and last year he was not even nominated in the Top 30. Lionel Messi is a rare talent that went from not being nominated in the Top 30 to winning the award next year. This is something that does not happen in any sport and it shows how great he is.

At the FIFA World Cup he scored 7 goals and had 3 assists which means 10 goal contributions I’m the whole tournament. He scored in the league matches and also in the single knockout match becoming the first player in history to do so I’m men’s football. Lionel Messi also became the first player in history to receive 5 Man of the Match Awards in a single World Cup. This will be enough to win his 8th Ballon D’Or

Lionel Messi will finish with probably more than 8 Ballon D’Ors and there will be no one that will be able to match his record ever and that will cement his status as the greatest of all time and only Kylian Mbappe can challenge him and he will have to win the UEFA Champions League and multiple Ballon D’Ors and I think that will not happen in his career. Lionel Messi will receive his 8th Ballon D’Or at the end of next year.
