Chinese F1 2024 Grand Prix Results: Verstappen Leads the Pack as Norris Shines in Chinese GP

Chinese F1 2024 Grand Prix

The Chinese Grand Prix was held for the first time in Shanghai International Circuit since 2019 after the COVID-19 pandemic. This race was very well contested but after the first position. The 20 drivers were motivated to put on a show for the thousands of fans who had come to watch the race. This was an important race as far as the championships were concerned.

Let’s look at the race results for the Chinese Grand Prix 2024

Race Results  

This race was led by Max Verstappen since the first lap, and he won the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix. There were two full safety cars and a virtual safety car, but he did not lose his focus. Lando Norris ran one of the best races of his life. He had only one pit stop, and he held off Sergio Perez to finish podium two. He was also voted the driver of the day.

Sergio Perez finished in podium three, which was a good result, and the two Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finished in fourth and fifth positions, respectively, and George Russell of Mercedes was in sixth place.


Fernando Alonso was running a good race as he finished seventh, and he overtook Oscar Piastri to finish seventh and get valuable points for Aston Martin.


Lewis Hamilton did not have the best of races, but he held his own to finish ninth, thus getting points for Mercedes, Haas got a point as Nico Hulkenberg finished in tenth.


The race started, and Max Verstappen just zoomed up to the lead, and then there was no stopping him. Fernando Alonso made a lovely move on Sergio Perez, thus taking the second spot from Red Bull. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were fourth and fifth, and George Russell and Nico Hulkenberg were sixth and seventh, and the two Ferrari drivers were last in the points.


Sergio Perez, after a few laps, got the DRS on Fernando Alonso, and he got his second position back.


At Lap 7, Lando Norris overtook Fernando Alonso to get to third. At Lap 12, Charles Leclerc got the better of Oscar Piastri for fifth place.


Max Verstappen pitted on lap 14.


There was a full safety car when Valteri Bottas' car got stuck in gear. At Lap 31, the race resumed, and it was Max Verstappen who got the best start. The race was over, and it was Red Bull and Max Verstappen with the win and with that, he has won four races this season and has 110 points.
