The five-time finalists and three-time champions, Germany, are ready to bring on the top challenge in the Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 as the defending champions. Germany's performances in men's FIH Hockey World Cup history
In the last edition, Germany won their third World Cup gold medal after beating Belgium in the final in a penalty shootout. Previously, they won the title in the 2002 and 2006 editions, while finishing as the runners-up in the 1982 and 2010 editions, as they have appeared in every World Cup edition.
The defending champions Germany won the EuroHockey Championship 2025 title to secure their place in the Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2026.
