Ranchi Royals climbed to the third position in the Men’s Hockey India League 2025/26 (Men’s HIL 2025/26) after beating Soorma Hockey Club by 4–1 on Friday (January 16) during the 19th game of the tournament.
In the 14th minute, Ranchi took the 1–0 lead when Manmeet Singh Rai scored a field goal. In the 20th and 22nd minutes, Belgian Tom Boon scored back-to-back goals through a field goal and a penalty corner goal, as Ranchi Royals got a 3–0 lead before the end of the second quarter.
While there was no goal in the third quarter, Mandeep Singh netted Ranchi’s fourth goal through another field goal in the 47th minute. In the 52nd minute, Jeetpal scored a consolation field goal for the seventh-placed Soorma Hockey Club.
