The co-hosts and favourites Netherlands Women have advanced to the Semi-finals of the Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 with their second round win against India Women. Despite the defeat, India are still in the battle for the Semi-finals along with China and Australia.

China 1–1 Australia
China vs Australia match ended in a 1-1 draw, as Pool E is standing in an interesting situation, as the last three teams have an almost open chance to grab the only remaining Semi-finals spot from the group. While Zhang Ying put China 1-0 ahead in the 39th minute, Abigail Wilson scored for Australia in the 48th minute to snatch a crucial point. For the Semifinals qualifcaition, the present status says that China need to win their last second-round game, while Australia must win their last game with China failing to win.
Netherlands 2–0 India
Record nine-time champions, including winning the last three World Cups, the Netherlands Women became the first team to qualify for the Semi-finals after beating India Women by 2-0. After Yibbi Jansen (2’) opened the scoreline for the hosts early from a penalty corner, Frédérique Matla (38’) solidified the status from another successful penalty corner.
Despite standing in the last place in Pool E, India Women are still in the battle for the Semi-finals spot, as they need to beat Australia in the last second-round game, and China must fail to win against the Netherlands.
