The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2022, just finished in an exciting way. Here we are talking about all the seasonal awards for the IPL 2022.

Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals played the final of the 15th IPL last Sunday (29th May) night at Ahmedabad. The debutants Titans won that game by seven wickets with 11 balls to spare to lift the trophy.

Fair Play Award – Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals

Both the finalists of the IPL 2022, Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals shared the Fairplay award of this season. Both teams finished the season with the average points of 10.0 as Royals had 170 points in 17 games and Titans had 160 points in 16 matches.

Emerging Player of the Season - Umran Malik (SunRisers Hyderabad)

The 22-year-old SRH’s uncapped Indian cricketer Umran Malik won the Emerging Player of the Season award. The right-arm fast bowler, who impressed with his furious deliveries, finished this IPL season as the fourth most wicket-taker (also most wicket-taker as an Indian pacer) with 22 wickets in 14 games.


Catch of the season – Evin Lewis (Lucknow SuperGiants)

LSG’s Trinidadian cricketer Evin Lewis won the Catch of the Season award. It was the 66th game of the IPL 2022, where Kolkata Knight Riders were playing a crucial match against LSG. On the penultimate delivery of the match (19.5 overs of the second innings), Lewis' stunning catch dismissed the dangerous Rinku Singh (40 runs). KKR ultimately lost that game by two runs.

Fastest Delivery of the Season – Lockie Ferguson (Gujarat Titans)

New Zealand right-arm fast bowler Lockie Ferguson, who played for Gujarat Titans in this IPL season, won the Fastest Delivery of the Season award. During the final of the IPL 2022 against Rajasthan Royals, Ferguson recorded one delivery to 157.3 kmph, and it was the fastest delivery of the season.


Gamechanger of the Season – Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)

Rajasthan Royals’ English cricketer Jos Buttler won the Gamechanger of the Season award. It is the award for accumulating the most fantasy points according to the official partner Dream11. Buttler finished this IPL season with 1318 points.


Super Striker of the Season – Dinesh Karthik (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

RCB cricketer Dinesh Karthik won the Super Striker of the Season award. The right-handed batter finished this season with the highest strike rate of 183.33 (minimum 300 runs in this season).

Sixes of the Season – Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)

Rajasthan Royals’ English cricketer Jos Buttler won the Sixes of the Season award for finishing on top of the most sixes in this IPL 2022 with 45 sixes.


Fours of the Season – Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)

The English cricketer Jos Buttler, who was serving for the runners-up Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022, also finished the season with the most fours (83 fours). So, the right-handed batter also took away the Fours of the Season award.

Power Player of the Season – Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)

Rajasthan Royals’ foreign cricketer Jos Buttler also won the Power Player of the Season award for his incredible batting performances during the powerplays of this season.

Purple Cap – Yuzvendra Chahal (Rajasthan Royals)

Another Rajasthan Royals cricketer, the Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal won the Purple Cap of this IPL 2022 after finishing this tournament as the most wicket-taker (27 wickets).  


Orange Cap – Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)

Rajasthan Royals cricketer Jos Buttler also won the Orange Cap. The English cricketer ended on top of the list of most runs in this IPL 2022 with 863 runs.

Most Valuable Player of the Season – Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)     

Jos Buttler, the English cricketer who played massive roles for the runners-up Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022, also won the Most Valuable Player of the Season award. He finished this season with the highest points (387.5) according to the official IPL website.
