Chennai Super Kings (CSK) claimed a big win in the away IPL 2026 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday night (23rd April). While it was an important game for both teams, a big win helped CSK to move to the fifth position in the IPL 2026 points table.
After the Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss, he sent the visitors to bat first. With the help of the opener Sanju Samson’s brilliant unbeaten century, where the right-handed batter scored 101 not out off 54 balls (10 fours and 6 sixes), CSK scored 207/6 in 20 overs.
In reply, MI were bundled out for only 104 runs, as CSK won the match by 103 runs. The Caribbean left-arm spinner, Akeal Hosein, was the best bowler of the match with the bowling figures of 4-1-17-4 for CSK.
