IPL 2025: Rohit Sharma Breaks Kieron Pollard's All-Time Mumbai Indians' Record

Although the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians had a poor start in the IPL 2025, they are flying high with four successive wins. MI faced the hosts SunRisers Hyderabad, the runners-up of the IPL 2024, on Wednesday night (April 23). While SRH managed to score 143/8 in 20 overs, Mumbai Indians chased down the target in 15.4 overs after losing only three wickets. 

Former MI skipper Rohit Sharma slammed 70 off 46 balls with eight fours and three sixes. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav also had a powerful knock of 40 not out in just 19 balls with five fours and two sixes.

With his three sixes in the latest IPL match, Rohit Sharma surpassed Kieron Pollard in the list for the most sixes for the Mumbai Indians. While the former Caribbean hit 258 sixes for the franchise, Sharma has smashed 260 sixes for MI.

Meanwhile, with his 260 sixes for Mumbai Indians, Rohit has now reached the third position in the list of the most sixes by a batter for a team in T20 cricket.

In the list of most IPL sixes, Rohit Sharma is in the second place with 295 over-boundaries, while Chris Gayle unsurprisingly holds this record with 357 IPL sixes.
