During the 47th match of the IPL 2025 in Jaipur, the 14-year-old Rajasthan Royals cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi stunned everyone with his fiery batting performance to slam his maiden T20 century, and that too in an unforgettable way.
Chasing down the challenging 210-run target, RR openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal had a 166-run opening partnership in just 11.5 overs. After completing his first T20 50 runs in just 17 balls, Suryavanshi continued his powerful performance and scored a century in 35 balls. Before Prasidh Krishna bowled him for 101 off 38 balls, the 14-year-old hit seven fours and 11 sixes.
The powerful batting performances from Suryavanshi and Jaiswal (70 not out in 40 balls) helped Rajasthan Royals chase the 210-run target successfully in 15.5 overs after losing only two wickets.
Youngest T20 centurion
At the age of 14 years and 33 days, Suryavanshi became the youngest batter to record a T20 century. The previous record holder was 18 years and 118 days old Vijay Zol (Maharashtra) vs Mumbai in Ahmedabad in 2013.

At the age of 14 years and 33 days, Suryavanshi also became the youngest batter to record a T20 50+ score. The previous record holder was 15 years and 360 days old Hassan Eisakhil (Boost Defenders) vs Hindukush Stars in Kabul in 2022.
2nd fastest IPL century
Scoring the century by 35 balls, Suryavanshi recorded the second-fastest century in IPL history. The record is a 30-ball century by Chris Gayle (Royal Challengers Bangalore) vs Pune Warriors India in Bangalore in 2013.
Fastest IPL century by an uncapped
With the help of a 35-ball hundred, Suryavanshi recorded the fastest IPL century by an uncapped player. The previous record was a 39-ball century by Priyansh Arya (Punjab Kings) against Chennai Super Kings in Chennai in the ongoing IPL 2025.
