Bowlers with Most dot balls in IPL

Dot balls key for the bowling teams as it put pressure for any batting. Not only with wickets, but the bowling team also dominate with the dot balls to control the batters.

Here is the list of the players who have bowled the most number of dot balls in IPL history (updated as of IPL 2024).

4. Piyush Chawla:  

Former Indian leg-spinner Piyush Chawla earned the international cricket limelight at very young age. He was a popular leg-spinner in the IPL history. In his 192 IPL matches, Chawla recorded 192 wickets after delivering 3850 balls, out of which his IPL dot balls were 1358.

3. Ravichandran Ashwin  

Former Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is known as one of the greatest spinners in international cricket history. Not only in Test cricket, he has also had incredible success in white balls, including the challenging IPL, where the off-spinner has recorded 180 wickets after 212 matches. At the end of the IPL 2024, Ashwin is the only bowler to deliver at least 4500 balls, and the off-spinner has a record of 1606 dot balls.

2. Sunil Narine  

Caribbean off-spinner Sunil Narine is among the highest wicket-takers in IPL with 180 wickets in 177 matches till the IPL 2024. While he has delivered more than 4000 balls in his IPL career, he has recorded 1631 dot balls.

1. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Indian right-arm pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is known for his unplayable swing bowling, holds the record for most dot balls in IPL history. After delivering more than 3900 balls in 176 IPL matches till the IPL 2024, Kumar has taken 181 IPL wickets and recorded 1729 dot balls.
