In the reply of KKR’s 222/3, only Praveen Kumar (18*) managed to reach the double-digit score apart from 19 extras, while Ajit Agarkar (3/25) got three wickets, and Ashok Dinda (2/9) and Sourav Ganguly (2/21) picked up two wickets each.

RCB’s lowest successful defended total record is 126/8 against Chennai Super Kings in Chennai in the IPL 2008, where CSK managed to reply with only 112/8 in 20 overs. Although CSK's openers had a 60-run partnership, apart from the openers Parthiv Patel (24) and Stephen Fleming (45), only Suresh Raina (21*) managed to reach the 20-run mark. Among the RCB bowlers, Anil Kumble (3/14) got three wickets and Dale Steyn (2/28) picked up two wickets.
