5. Chennai Super Kings (240/5)


It was in the opening season itself, that IPL shown it to the world, that it is going to be one of the best cricketing league of the world. 4. Kolkata Knight Riders (245/6)


Kolkata have a powerful hitters in their line up, but not every time they have blasted well. But when they fire up, they will be uncontrollable, and on 12th May, 2018 in a match between Kolkata vs Punjab at Holkar cricket stadium, Indore all were at their best. The batting line up just started hitting so well that all the batters on that day had strike rate more than 200, except two who had it more than 150. The strike rate itself speaks about the fire power. The main players were Narine and Dinesh Kartik who scored 75 and 50 in that match. The team posted a total of 245 for 6 at the end of innings at a strike rate of 203.26 and even though Punjab tried their very best, losing wickets regularly cost them the match after scoring 214/8 and Kolkata celebrated the win. 


3. Chennai Super Kings (246/5)


Chennai, one of the successful franchises of IPL, has been one of the consistent and fan favorite teams. Chennai vs Rajasthan match on 23 May, 2010 in Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai has given Chennai fans a cherry to delish forever in their very own stadium. In this match Chennai has scored 246 for 5 by smashing Rajasthan bowling line up 19 fours and 18 sixes all over the stadium. The main key players of Chennai in this match were Murali Vijay and Morkel who scored 127 and 61 at a strike rate of 226 and 187 respectively. The strike rate in the innings was 204.16 and the Rajasthan team tried their best to chase but fell short of 23 runs and Chennai were unbeaten.


2. Royal Challengers Bangalore (248/3)


Royal Challengers Bangalore are pros at creating records, be it be for highest score or lowest score or any other thing. 14th May, 2016 is itched in every RCB's fan, since they got to witness a special partnership from their very favorite batting pair ABD and Virat Kohli. In this match between Bangalore and Gujarat, this pair smashed the Gujarat bowlers and both of them scored centuries and also held the record for highest partnership in IPL history. In this innings, 16 fours and 29 sixes were hit and fans were entertained again at Chinnaswamy stadium. The team scored 246 runs at a strike rate of 206.5 and remains the second highest score in IPL history.


1. Royal Challengers Bangalore (263/5)


Universe Boss is the only name that was heard on this day in the stadium, yes it was all about The Universe Boss, Chris Gayle's havoc at Chinnaswamy stadium and Bangalore fans couldn't have asked anything better on that day. On 23 April, 2013 the match between Bangalore and Pune gave this wonderful and quite impossible to beat record of Highest score in the history of IPL. RCB put up a huge total of 263 for 5 with Chris Gayle scoring 175 off 66 balls with 13 fours and 17 gigantic sixes at a strike rate of 265.15. The team has smashed 21 sixes and fours each to reach this total. The havoc created by Gayle has allowed RCB to post a total of 263 at a strike rate of 219.16, which is still highest to date and yet to be beaten.
