1. Noah Ngeny:



Kenyan athletes are very well known for their performance in long distance as well as short distance race events in Olympic Games. The fastest performance in 1500 meters in Olympic history was performed by the Kenyan athlete Naoh Ngeny in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He completed the race in a time of 3 minutes 32 seconds and 7 milliseconds.


2. Sebastian Coe:



In the Los Angeles Olympics of 1984 runner Sebastian Coe wrote his name as one of the fastest runners in 1500 meter race history. He completed the race with a time record of 3 minutes and 32 seconds. Also he is the only athlete in history to win Olympic gold in 1500 meters consecutively.

 

3. Kip Keino:



Kip Keino is a Kenyan athlete who is very well known for his performance in long distance races in athletics. He is one of the best Kenyan athletes of all the time. The third fastest Olympic 1500 meter performance is also written in his name. In the Mexico Olympics of 1968, he completed the race in 3 minutes and 34 seconds. He won the race in a margin of 20 meters which is the highest in Olympic history till date. This performance from Kip in the 1500 meter category is well remembered since that event.
