AEW Dynasty 2025 was one show which was a divisive one. This was a PPV which was attended by 8000 fans. There were a lot of matches on this card. AEW needs to drastically reduce the number of matches it has on a PPV. A PPV should not be 5 hours. Let’s look at the Results for AEW Dynasty 2025

Will Osperay beat Kevin Knight

This was the first match of the main show. It was Will Osperay against the newest signing for AEW, Kevin Knight. This was a 13 minute match. Kevin Knight showed that he can hang with the best in the world. He hit a smooth sliding shoulder tackle to Will Osperay. Will Osperay delivered a slingshot Kick and Knight reversed the attempted Styles Clash to a DDT. Will Osperay won the match and he advanced to the next round of the Owen Hart Cup. 


The Hurt Syndicate beat Branches of a learning tree for AEW World Tag Team Championship

Big Bill was the one who showed his power in the match first and that sent Bobby Lashley out of the ring. The Hurt Syndicate gained control and they took out Big Bill. This was a 11 minute tag team match. MJF was in the crowd and he helped The Hurt Syndicate by hitting Big Bill with his diamond ring. The Hurt Syndicate took advantage of this and won the match. The storyline between MJF and The Hurt Syndicate is interesting. 


Mercedes Mone beat Julia Hart

This was the Quarter Final Match of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Julia Hart got the advantage as she hit Mercedes Mone with lethal strikes. Mercedes Mone tried to come back but Julia Hart was relentless. The crowd was quiet for this match. This was 13 minutes. Mercedes Mone made a comeback and the crowd later on in the match was behind Julia Hart. Mercedes Mone used a nice combination to pin her opponent and advance to the next round. 


Death Riders beat Rated FTR for AEW World Trios Championship

It was a match featuring Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta and Pac of Death Riders vs Cope, FTR. Rated FTR got the advantage as Wheeler Yuta was cornered for the first portion of the match. The crowd made known their displeasure of Wheeler Yuta. Dax Harwood stole a tag from Cope during the match but he took out Death Riders all on his own. Wheeler Yuta won the match. After the match, Dax Harwood attacked Cope and hit his finisher on a chair and hit Conchairto. This was the heel turn that FTR needed. Toni Storm beat Megan Bayne for AEW Women’s Championship

Megan Bayne had her biggest match of her career. She overpowered Toni Storm to start the match as she was throwing around the champion. Toni Storm hit a crossbody but it was a 2 count. Penelope Ford was in the corner of Megan Bayne and she paid dividends as she attacked Toni Storm. It looked like Megan Bayne would get the win but Toni Storm rolled her up and got the win. This was a 16 minute match which protected Megan Bayne while giving Toni Storm the win. 


Kyle Fletcher beat Mark Briscoe

This was another match in the Owen Hart Cup. This was the 4th Match between these 2 Men. Kyle Fletcher hit a Suicide dive but Mark took control of the match, however Kyle Fletcher took back control. He hit Powerbombs on Mark. Kyle Fletcher did not allow Mark to rest. There were some near falls of each other’s Finishers which made this match one of the best in the show. Kyle Fletcher won the match and it is now 2-2 in this series. 


Bandido beat Chris Jericho for ROG World Championship

Bandido put his mask on the line in this match. Chris Jericho hit his finisher the Code breaker but Bandido kicked out. Jericho was doing his typical heel work and the family of Bandido was in the crowd. Bandido lifted Chris Jericho for a suplex but he held him in the air as the crowd counted 60. Chris Jericho thought that he had won the match. However the family of Bandido told the referee that Jericho cheated to win. The match was restarted and Bandido got the win. This was the right outcome. This was a good 18 minute match. 


Adam Cole beat Daniel Garcia for TNT Championship

This match had no time limit and nobody was allowed to interfere in this match. Both these men knew that they had something to prove. Both men started hitting each other with punches. Adam Cole started selling his neck injury and that allowed Daniel Garcia to take complete control of the match. This was a match that was physical and they did not work a spot fest. Adam Cole hit multiple Panama Sunrise and then a running knee to become the new TNT Champion. To say this is earned would be a massive understatement. This was 16 minutes or hardcore action.

 

Kenny Omega beat Ricochet and Mike Bailey for AEW International Championship

The single best match on the entire card. If this match had not been there on this show then this would have been one of the worst AEW PPVs of all time. This was a 31 minute all time classic. The start of this match was one on one amongst the three men which led to great spots. The crowd was on their feet. Kenny Omega and Mike Bailey formed an alliance and they hit Ricochet whenever they had the chance. Ricochet is such a good heel. He went on commentary to brag about himself but Mike Bailey spiked him which got the crowd cheering. There were 2 faces and one heel. Their styles mashed perfectly. Mike Bailey hit a MoosSault knee to both men which looked great. Kenny Omega won this match and this was a 6 star match in what was the best triple threat match in AEW history. After the match, Kazuchika Okada came out to confront Kenny Omega and it looks set for All In. 


Jon Moxley beat Swerve Strickland for AEW World Championship

From the best match of the show to the worst ending of the show. The main event had only one objective and all AEW fans wanted was the title of Jon Moxley. The match started with both men grappling like it was a traditional match. After a few minutes, Swerve Strickland started hitting heavy blows to Jon Moxley. The crowd came alive for that. Both men justified the hate they had for each other with blood. Marina Shadir tried to win the match for Jon Moxley but Prince Nana made the save. Jon Moxley set up a ladder but Swerve Strickland put Jon Moxley through the table with a double stomp. Adam Page came out and he tried to help Swerve Strickland win the match. Swerve Strickland was going for the win but then the lights went out and when they were back on, The Young Bucks were there. They took out Swerve Strickland and Jon Moxley got the win and is still AEW World Champion. This match was 32 minutes long.
