Mercedes Mone is AEW Women’s Champion
Mercedes Mone was having one of the biggest matches of her career against Willow Nightingale at All In 2026 for the AEW Women’s title. This was an unbelievable match which ran for 22 minutes where both women showed who they are and why they were given the co-main event spot. Mercedes Mone finally won the AEW Women’s title by beating her great opponent. Ever since she debuted in 2023, the wrestling world has been excited to see what she would do after leaving WWE like that in 2022. She was the TBS Champion for over 500 days and held 12 titles at one time across promotions. This was a world record in professional wrestling.
Mercedes Mone is one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time. She is not capable of having a bad match even on her worst day. She has elevated so many women in AEW, like Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, Maya World and many more. Tony Khan trusts Mercedes Mone so much that he gives her over 20 minutes to have a match at every PPV. The women generally do not get that amount of time. Now that she has won the AEW Women’s title, the real work starts now. Mercedes Mone has had to wait almost 5 years to win a world title in professional wrestling. She will make the most of this and try to elevate the entire women’s division.
There are so many women who would like to wrestle Mercedes Mone for the world title. People like Alex Windsor, Lena Kross, Megan Bayne, Thekla, Britt Baker, and Persephone. She can be the champion for 300 days and have 15 matches for the title. Tony Khan needs to book her in meaningful feuds and treat her the same way as Will Osperay. The women’s wrestling world, even outside of AEW, will be looking closely at the title reign that Mercedes Mone will have. She is a part of the WWE Four Horsewomen. The sky is truly the limit.
