The Indian mixed skeet team secured a bronze medal at the Asian Games 2026, marking the first medal for an Indian mixed team at the ongoing Asian Games.
China secured the gold medal with a world record after securing 52 points. Republic of Korea claimed the silver medal with 51 points, as they narrowly missed out on the gold medal.
Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Parinaaz Dhaliwal represented India in the mixed skeet team, as they scored a total of 44 points at the end of Series 6. While India had the same score with Republic of Korea at the end of Series 6, and China (45) was just one point ahead of them, India was kicked out of the final series battle, which was the gold medal battle, due to a worse qualification score than the Korean team.
The overall battle was very tight between the top three teams out of four finalists. India had the hard luck to miss out on the gold-medal battle.
The three-time Asian Shooting Championships gold medalist Anantjeet Singh Naruka secured his fourth Asian Games medal, while he previously won silver in men’s skeet and bronze in men’s skeet team at the Asian Games 2022, before winning a bronze in the men’s skeet team event at the ongoing Asian Games 2026.
Like Naruka, Parinaaz Dhaliwal also won her second medal in the ongoing Asian Games 2026. She was previously part of India’s women’s skeet team that won silver at the 2026 Asian Games.
