India men created history by winning the inaugural men’s Kho Kho World Cup after beating Nepal in the Final of the tournament by 54-36.
India and Nepal started the tournament from Group A, where the hosts India beat Nepal by 42-37. Then, India and Nepal both beat Bhutan, Peru, and Brazil in the group stage.
Later, India beat Sri Lanka and South Africa in the quarterfinal and semifinal, respectively, while Nepal thrashed Bangladesh and Iran in their knockout stages. In the Final of the tournament, India won the gold medals after securing an 18-point win against the silver medalists Nepal.
