India and Sri Lanka will jointly host Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

On Tuesday (25 November), the International Cricket Council (ICC) officially revealed the complete schedule for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which India and Sri Lanka will jointly host from February 7 to March 8, 2026.  


The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be the 10th edition of the tournament, where 20 teams will participate in the competition. A total of 55 matches will be played in 29 days.

The top eight seeded teams have already got the tags from the group stage, as whatever they finish in their respective groups, their respective Super 8 stage group placement has been fixed. These teams are India (X1), Australia (X2), West Indies (X3), South Africa (X4), England (Y1), New Zealand (Y2), Pakistan (Y3), and Sri Lanka (Y4), and these seedings happened according to the ICC Men’s T20I ranking as of 25 July 2025. In case, any of these teams fail to advance to the Super 8 stage, the other qualifying team will take their seeded place.
