The 10th Edition of the T20I World Cup will start from 7th February 2026. There will be 20 Teams that will take part in this tournament. This is the Second edition of the tournament with a 20 team World Cup. To predict the 4 semi finalists out of 20 is tougher than 16. There are some teams which are the absolute favourites and there are some teams that can surprise during the tournament.

India
This current Indian team is by far and away the best team in the world. This team is at least 3 times better than the one that won the 2024 T20I World Cup. They have the best openers in the world in Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan. Tilak Verma, Surya Kumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya are the power hitters and they will hit more than 220 runs throughout the tournament. Their bowling attack is the best as they have Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube who can also bowl. There is no weakness in this Indian Squad. They are playing at home which gives them more of an advantage.
New Zealand
New Zealand are one of the most exciting T20I teams in the world. They have a very good balance of experience and youth in their team. Finn Allen and Tim Seifert are two of the most destructive opening batters. They also have Glenn Phillips who is the best fielder in the world. Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell are the middle order. Their bowling attack is versatile. They have Jacob Duffy, Kyle Jamieson, Lockie Ferguson, Mitchell Santner who will be the captain. New Zealand can very well make it to the semi final of the World Cup.
England
The number 3 team in the world, England are also one of the teams that can make it to the semi finals. They have Jos Buttler who is one of the best of all time in this format. England have Ben Duckett, Jamie Overton, Phil Salt, Harry Brook as the batting options. They also have Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Luke Wood as the bowling attack. Will Jacks is also there if England need his services. Even though their bowling is weaker, their batting will carry them through the semi final.
South Africa
The South African T20I team is one that can win the tournament. They have the perfect mix of batters and bowlers who can be the highest run getters and wicket takers. They have Aiden Markarm, David Miller, Dewald Brevis, Tristan Stubbs, Quinton De Kock and Ryan Rickelton as the explosive batting options. They also have the all round attack to win this tournament. They have Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Corbin Bosch, Lungi Ngidi, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj and Kwena Maphaka. South Africa are a team that like India have all their bases covered.
