Let’s take a look at the Results for Roland Garros 2025

Men’s Singles

This was the dawn of a new era in Men’s Tennis. The Big 3 has only one player left and Novak Djokovic has indicated that this could be his last French Open. Two players stood out throughout the tournament and they were World number 1 Jannik Sinner and World number 2 Carlos Alcaraz. Jannik Sinner defeated Novak Djokovic in the semi final by 6-4, 7-5 and 7-6. This was a very competitive match but Sinner was special. Carlos Alcaraz beat Lorenzo Musetti in 4 sets with the score 4-6, 7-6, 6-0, 2-0 as his opponent was forced to retire. The final between these two was the second longest Grand Slam Final of the Open Era at 5 Hours and 29 Minutes. This was truly one of the greatest tennis matches of all time. Jannik Sinner was 2 sets to 0 but Carlos Alcaraz made a comeback for the ages and won the match 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6 . This was his 5th Grand Slam title.

Women’s Singles

The women’s singles is the most competitive field in tennis as any player can beat anyone. This was a tournament of 3 players. First the French star Lois Boisson. She was ranked over 300 in the rankings but she kept on winning match after match. She reached the semi final and that is a career achievement for her. Coco Gauff beat her in the semi final by 2-6, 1-6.  Second was Aryna Sabalenka who was the favourite to win the tournament. She dominated every match and she beat Iga Swiatek who is the queen of clay by 7-6, 4-6 and 6-0. Third was Coco Gauff who was the world number 2. She had her toughest match in the QF against Madison Keys and she won 6-7, 6-4, 6-1. In the Final Coco Gauff came back from one set down to win the match 6-7, 6-2 and 6-4.

Men’s Doubles

The doubles players do not get the same level of spotlight as the singles. This was a very good Doubles tournament. The final was between the World number 5 against Number 8. It was a 3 set thriller. The team of Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers won the match by beating the team of Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski by 6-0, 6-7 and 7-5.

Women’s Doubles

The women’s doubles was one of the last events of the French Open. This was a tournament that saw the team of Jasmine Paoloni and Sara Errani of Italy who won the title by winning the match 6-4, 2-6 and 6-1. They were the world number 2 and they beat Aleksandar Krunic and Anna Danilina. Wimbledon awaits these teams in a few weeks.
