US Open 2025 Results

The fourth and last Grand Slam of the year has concluded and new champions have been made. The Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles winners got a prize money of $5 million which is the highest in the history of tennis. There are 4 months left for the Australian Open 2026.

Let’s look at the Results for US Open 2025

Men’s Singles

The Men’s Singles tournaments at the Grand Slams this year have been about 2 men. These two men have played the final in 3 out of the 4 Grand Slams in 2025. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have played each other on clay, grass and hard courts. Carlos Alcaraz won the US Open and he only lost 1 set doing it. Before the tournament started all the talk was about his hair but as the tournament concluded all the talk was about the new World number 1. Carlos Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic 6-4, 7-6 and 6-2 in the semi final. Novak Djokovic is still one of the four best Players in the world. Jannik Sinner beat Felix Auger Aliassime by 6-1,3-6,6-3,6-4. The final was a 4 set match where Carlos Alcaraz won by 6-2,3-6,6-1 and 6-4. This is the 6th Grand Slam for Carlos Alcaraz in his young career and he is only 22.

Women’s Singles

The women’s Singles was more of the same. There were three players that dominated the headlines going into the tournament. Aryna Sabalenka because she is the best hard court player in the world. Amanda Anisimova because she was coming from a 6-0,6-0 loss in the Wimbledon Final. The third was Iga Swiatek who had just won Wimbledon. Amanda Anisimova made a comeback for the ages and she beat Iga Swiatek in the quarter final by 6-4 and 6-3 and got some measure of revenge. In the semi final she beat Naomi Osaka who was in prime form by 6-7,7-6 and 6-3 in an absolute thriller. Aryna Sabalenka was determined to win this tournament. She won her semi final by beating American tennis hero Jessica Pegula by 6-4,3-6 and 6-4. In the final it was Aryna Sabalenka who won the title in 2 sets by 6-3 and 7-6. Amanda Anisimova’s time will come and when it does she will not stop winning Grand Slams.

Men’s Doubles

The doubles portion of the tournament is one where lots of people do not pay attention to. These players work just as hard to win Grand Slams. The final of the Men’s Doubles tournament was an epic one and one of the best finals of the US Open. It was between the number 5 and 6 seeds. The team of Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos beat Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury by 3-6,7-6 and 7-5 to come back from behind and win it. The winning team had players from Spain and Argentina. These two players will look to win more Gold in 2026.

Women’s Doubles

The women’s doubles got a little more attention as one of the best American tennis players was playing in it. The final of this tournament was not as exciting as the Men’s Doubles. The team of Erin Routliffe and Gabriela Dabrowski won the US Open. They beat Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova in 2 sets by 6-4 and 6-4. Taylor Townsend had an incident in the singles tournament. The women’s doubles needs more teams to be more competitive.

Mixed Doubles

This year the Mixed Doubles tournament was held in a different format. It was held before the tournament and all the top singles players had to team up together to win $1 million. The two semi finals saw the team of Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud beat the number 1 seeds Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula in one semi final in a Banger by 3-5, 5-3 and 10-8 in the decider. Sara Errani and Andrea Vavasaori beat the American team of Danielle Collins and Christian Harrison by 6-4 and 6-4. The Final was absolutely phenomenal as Sara Errani and Andrea Vavasaori won the title in 3 sets. They won by 6-3,5-7 and 10-6. This is a very good format to keep the fans invested in mixed Doubles year after year.
