West Indies are ready to start their 2025-2027 ICC World Test Championship journey with the home Test series against Australia. In all three WTC journeys, West Indies finished in eighth place, as the Caribbean are desperate to rise in the new WTC cycle.

Australia tour of West Indies in 2025: Frank Worrell Trophy 2026 (3-match Test series)  

25-29 June: West Indies vs Australia (Kensington Oval, Bridgetown)

3-7 July: West Indies vs Australia (Grenada National Cricket Stadium, St. George's)

12-16 July: West Indies vs Australia (Sabina Park, Kingston)

  • West Indies last won a home Test match against Australia in 2003 St John’s Test by three wickets. After that match, the Caribbean side has suffered six Test defeats and two Test draws against Australia at home.

  • West Indies have lost all their last four home Test series against Australia, which stretches their six home Test series winless streak (five losses and one draw) after winning their last home Test series against Australia in 1991. 


West Indies tour of India in 2025/26 (2-match Test series)  

2-6 October: India vs West Indies (Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad)

10-14 October: India vs West Indies (Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi)

  • West Indies last won a Test match in India in December 1994. After that Test, West Indies have lost eight Tests and drawn two Tests in India. 

  • West Indies last won a Test series in India in 1983. Since then, West Indies have recorded two Test series draws and the last four Test series defeats in India.

2-6 December: New Zealand vs West Indies (Hagley Oval, Christchurch)

10-14 December: New Zealand vs West Indies (Basin Reserve, Wellington)

18-22 December: New Zealand vs West Indies (Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui)

  • West Indies last won a Test match in New Zealand in the 1995 Wellington Test. Since then, West Indies have recorded 10 Test losses and four Test draws in New Zealand, including the last six Test defeats.

  • West Indies last won a Test series in New Zealand in 1995. Since then, West Indies have suffered five Test series defeats and one Test series draw in New Zealand, including the last three Test series defeats.


Sri Lanka tour of West Indies in 2026: Sobers-Tissera Trophy (2-match Test series) – June 2026   

  • West Indies are winless in their last four home Tests against Sri Lanka, including three draws and one defeat, while winning their last home Test against the Lankans in June 2018. 

  • West Indies have never lost a home Test series against Sri Lanka, recording last three Test series draws after their first two Test series wins in 1997 and 2003. 


Pakistan tour of West Indies in 2026 (2-match Test series) – July-August 2026  

  • Last time West Indies won a home Test series against Pakistan was in 2000. Since then, the Caribbean side has recorded three home Test series draws and one home Test series defeat against Pakistan. 


West Indies tour of Bangladesh in 2026/27 (2-match Test series) – October 2026  

  • West Indies have suffered only two away Test defeats against the hosts Bangladesh, all in 2018.

  • In their five Test series in Bangladesh, West Indies won four times and lost only in 2018.
