Friday Night SmackDown had the main event for the WWE Championship. It was between the champion Drew Mcintyre vs Cody Rhodes. Drew Mcintyre had been screwing over Cody Rhodes at every opportunity and Nick Aldis made the match official for SmackDown. It was the last chance for Cody Rhodes to win the title. The IWC wanted Drew Mcintyre to retain because he has worked hard for that spot and deserves to have a long reign.

The QB1 is once again WWE Champion
It was the WWE Championship Match between Cody Rhodes vs Drew Mcintyre on SmackDown. Drew Mcintyre was furious at Nick Aldis for giving Cody Rhodes yet another title shot. Randy Orton had won the Elimination Chamber Match which meant that he would be the challenger at WrestleMania 42. The winner of this match would face him as the champion. The fans on Twitter were concerned because Drew Mcintyre was In danger of losing the WWE Championship on SmackDown. WWE wants to do Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 as a singles match. The Match was almost 20 minutes and it was a very good match as is the case with these two men.
The referee was taken out mid match as Drew Mcintyre took out the referee and Cody Rhodes hit Cross Rhodes but there was no referee. A second referee was in the ring and Drew Mcintyre hit Claymore but Cody Rhodes kicked out. Drew Mcintyre attacked the second official which means that he would be suspended again. Drew Mcintyre was going for his finisher again but Cody Rhodes hit another Cross Rhodes and won the WWE Championship. Cody Rhodes has become a 3 time WWE Champion and this now means that he will face his mentor Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42. Randy Orton has since months stared at the WWE Championship and finally the fans will get the dream match.
