WWE announced that the Greatest of all time John Cena will be the official host of WrestleMania 42. This came as a pleasant surprise to all the fans of WWE who were missing John Cena ever since he retired from WWE. WWE has had an old tradition to have hosts for WrestleMania. This will generate more hype for the event and the WWE superstars involved on both nights of WrestleMania 42. WrestleMania 42 will take place on 18th and 19th April 2026.

WWE surprised fans by announcing that John Cena will host WrestleMania 42. There were no reports that John Cena is going to be involved with WWE in any capacity during WrestleMania 42. The fans assumed that he will be busy filming for movies and TV shows but WWE needs John Cena. The ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 have been slow and that is because the prices for the event are at an all time High. If the prices were reasonable the stadium might have already been sold out for both nights. John Cena is a ticket magnet for WWE and the news that he will be an important part of both nights of WrestleMania 42 will compel a lot of WWE fans to buy tickets because the next time they might get to see him live will be a long way ahead.
This will give ESPN a lot to talk about because they are the Network that will air WrestleMania 42. This will be their very first WrestleMania. John Cena could do interviews on various ESPN platforms and generate more hype for WrestleMania. The current WWE superstars like Danhousen, Je’Von Evans and more will get to interact with John and get invaluable advice. It has not been too long since his retirement but 4 months is a significant amount of time and as everyone says absence makes the heart grow fonder. He will also get to interact with fellow legends like The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk backstage and maybe have segments throughout the 2 nights. There are so many ways in which WWE can utilize John Cena at WrestleMania 42.
