The first week of NXT Gold Rush 2025 is complete and there were big title matches that took place. There were 4 Matches on this show. Titles from AAA and NXT were defended. There were 3000 fans in attendance which is a high number for NXT. This is a concept that has worked well and Shawn Michaels will look to have it every year before NXT Deadline.
Let’s look at the Results for WWE NXT Gold Rush Week 1
Ethan Page and Chelsea Green beat Joe Hendry and Thea Hail for AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship
The match started with the two women going at it. Thea Hail dominated the first part of the match and Chelsea Green tagged Ethan Page. Ethan Page hit a knee to Joe Hendry who followed it with a delayed vertical Suplex for a near fall. Thea Hail applied the kimura lock on Ethan Page which was broken by Chelsea Green. Thea Hail kicked Chelsea Green onto her partner Ethan Page. Joe Hendry hit a number of European Uppercuts to Ethan Page for a near fall. Chelsea Green slapped Joe Hendry followed by Ethan Page trying to choke out Joe Hendry. Alba Fyre distracts Joe Hendry and Ethan Page hits a face buster for a near fall. Chelsea Green hits her finisher to Thea Hail to get the win for her team and win the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship.
Blake Monroe beat Sol Ruca for NXT Women’s North American Championship
Blake Monroe tried to go for the injured leg of Sol Ruca but Sol Ruca hit a Sunset flip Powerbomb for a near fall. Sol Ruca hit an Enziguiri to Blake Monroe. Blake Monroe hit a Sling blade and took control of the match. Sol Ruca hit a beautiful Dropkick with an injured leg. Sol Ruca hit Irish Whips followed by a MoonSault for a near fall. Blake Monroe went to work on the leg as she hit a seated splash on it. Sol Ruca hit a German Suplex for another near fall on Blake Monroe. Blake Monroe applies a single leg crab and she takes out the knee brace of Sol Ruca. Blake Monroe applied a calf crusher and seeing the pain that Sol Ruca was in , Zaria threw in the towel and the referee stopped the match. Blake Monroe retained the title.
DarkState beat Leon Slater and Je’Von the for NXT Tag Team Championship
This was the third title match of the show. It was DarkState vs Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans. Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans hit Superkicks to start the match as they sent their opponents to the floor. Evans hit a plancha and Leon Slater got a close fall. DarkState takes control of the match and they send both Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans to the floor. Evans hit a cutter and then he dropped a Dropkick for a very near fall. Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans hit Suicide Dives on everyone on the outside. Evans blocked a lot of punches by DarkState. Dion of DarkState hit a Neckbreaker for a near fall on Evans. To win the match DarkState hit a Doomsday Device for the win. This was the best match on the show so far.
Jacy Jayne beat Tatum Paxley for NXT Women’s Championship
The match started and both women started hitting chops on each other. Jacy Jayne gets a rollup for a near fall and almost wins the title. Tatum Paxley hit a MoonSault from the apron to the floor. This was a 12 minute title match. Jacy Jayne hit a Cannonball from the apron that hurt the champion. Jacy Jayne hit a Suplex for a near fall. Tatum Paxley and Jacy Jayne exchanged a series of kicks and punches. Tatum Paxley hit an Enziguiri and a somersault leg drop for a near fall. Tatum Paxley hit a swinging Neckbreaker followed by a Powerbomb for a near fall. Jacy Jayne hit a Superkick. Izzy Dame turned heel on Tatum Paxley and hit a Superkick on her. Jacy Jayne hit a rolling elbow to win the match and become a 2 Time NXT Women’s Champion.
