On 16th September 2025, NXT will return to Full Sail University for NXT Homecoming. It is a Tuesday show but this show feels like one of the biggest of the year for NXT. Matches were set up at the recent NXT show where there were many surprises. The Full Sail University crowd is in for a treat. There will be close to 1500 fans sold out for the show.
Let’s look at the Match Card for NXT Homecoming 2025
Ethan Page vs Tyler Breeze for NXT North American Championship
This match absolutely came out of nowhere. Ethan Page was supposed to have a match against Tavion Heights but he took him out. Then the NXT crowd got a massive surprise as Tyler Breeze returned to NXT with his iconic theme song with the selfie stick gimmick. He was one of the most popular stars in the NXT Black and Gold era. Tyler Breeze is also one of the best wrestlers in the world. Ethan Page will have a tough test and he will have to dig deep. This match will be a Banger. Hopefully this leads to a long run for Tyler Breeze in NXT so that the new generation of fans can appreciate him.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs Tatum Paxley and Izzy Dame for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
It is safe to say that this is the biggest match in the careers of Tatum Paxley and Izzy Dame. These two young women who have consistently made a mark in NXT over the past 2 years will get to face off against two of the original stars of NXT. Charlotte Flair was on NXT in 2014 when it started and she was a part of the Four Horse women. Alexa Bliss was in NXT in 2016 and at that time she was a manager. In the past 9 years, she has become one of WWE’s biggest and most dependable wrestlers. The Full Sail University fans will give a very warm welcome to their two OGs. This match will be very good and Tatum Paxley and Izzy Dame should learn as much as they can from these two future WWE Hall of Famers.
DIY vs Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes
This is a tag team match that is like the ultimate dream match for NXT fans. Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa are the ultimate black and Gold superstars. They were the faces of NXT and they had probably the greatest feud in NXT history in 2018. They have reunited as DIY. They will face the two faces of the NXT 2.0 era. Carmelo Hayes was the NXT Champion and the face of the NXT 2.0 era. Trick Williams was his ally. However Trick Williams took over from his friend and became a multi time NXT Champion and currently he is the TNA World Champion. This can be the match of the night. The interesting thing is Carmelo Hayes is turning a babyface and Trick Williams is a heel.
Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton and Stephanie Vaquer vs Fatal Influence
Fatal Influence got way more than they can chew. Jacy Jayne getting arrogant that she is the greatest NXT Women’s Champion of all time. Her Fatal Influence partners Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx are not happy with how arrogant the NXT Women’s Champion has become. At the end of NXT this week first came out Stephanie Vaquer who got a huge pop and Booker T was excited. Then it was Tiffy Time as Tiffany Stratton came out and Jacy Jayne was a little scared. However then came out Rhea Ripley and the fans lost their minds. It was like The Avengers had assembled to take on Fatal Influence. This match will be incredible and seeing the biggest stars of the three different NXT eras team up will be a treat. NXT Homecoming is sure to have many more surprises.
