The biggest NXT show of the year took place at Full Sail University on 16th September. It was NXT Homecoming and it was the celebration of the old and showcasing the present. NXT Homecoming was a show that gave the feeling of the black and Gold era of NXT. There were many former NXT superstars who were present.

An All Star Start to NXT Homecoming
The show started with a wonderful opening package highlighting the awesome moments at Full Sail University. The moments from 2013 were shown and Paige, Seth Rollins, Sasha Banks, Asuka, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Dusty Rhodes, Rhea Ripley were also shown. The show started with Triple H and he was given a rapturous ovation by the fans. He said that it was great being back home to NXT. Shawn Michaels came out and there was a moment which was interesting. Triple H said to Shawn Michaels what if he wanted to come back and that prompted Williams Regal to come out and say Wargames. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss received loud ovations and they told everyone that women run NXT. This was the perfect start to NXT Homecoming.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss beat Tatum Paxley and Izzy Dame for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
This was an entertaining match in which the fans were having a good time. Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley had their dolls to start the match. This was followed by Charlotte Flair wrestling for the first time in NXT in 5 years. She showed why she was one of the best of all time. Izzy Dame got to show her wrestling skills against Charlotte Flair as she was acting heel. The two young women got very close to the finish line but the experience of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss won them the match. This was a 15 minute match and Alexa Bliss was punished as she was thrown to the bottom rope and to the steel stairs. To close the match Alexa Bliss hit Sister Abigail on Izzy Dame and got the win.
Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes beat Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa
This match had 4 former NXT Champions in the ring. Carmelo Hayes got a nice ovation and he used his awesome NXT entrance. Tomasso Ciampa had his NXT theme which was a Banger and he came out with face paint. This Rebel Heart played and the fans lost their minds. Johnny Gargano was there. This was a very good tag team match. This match started on a fast note as all the wrestlers wanted to pin each other to the mat and they were hitting each other with kicks. Johnny Gargano hit a Suicide dive on his opponents. Trick Williams hit a kick and Carmelo Hayes followed it with a springboard leg drop for a 2 count. Trick Williams was acting like a heel and Carmelo Hayes was the babyface. At the closing stages of the match it was looking like Trick might attack Carmelo Hayes but he kicked Ciampa. The Miz helped Carmelo Hayes win the match.
Ethan Page beat Tyler Breeze for NXT North American Championship
This was the second title match on the show. Tyler Breeze was having a match in NXT after four years. Ethan Page knocked out Tyler Breeze with a punch to the ground. This was a very competitive match and WWE should do more with Tyler Breeze going forward. Tyler Breeze hit the Liger Bomb for a close count. Ethan Page won the match and he is still the NXT North American Champion.
Grayson Waller Effect with Oba Femi and Ricky Saints
Grayson Waller was at his heelish best. He taunted both his opponents and Oba Femi told Ricky Saints that he was not special. Oba Femi said that he is underwhelmed by Ricky Saints. Ricky was not going to take all this and he said that Oba Femi is way over his head and he is understanding Ricky Saints. Trick Williams got out and told that Oba Femi has the title that belongs to him and this set up a match between Trick Williams vs Oba Femi and it will be winner take all.
NXT Legends have their homecoming
Several NXT legends arrived home at NXT. Shayna Baszler was seen on WWE TV for the first time in months as she was advising Sol Ruca and Zaria. Sami Zayn was there and he got a massive ovation and he told Je’Von Evans to go for the NXT Championship. Tavion Heights was depressed and he was given advice by Damien Priest. Bobby Roode told Joe Hendry that he should go for the NXT Championship. However the best legend was when Lexis King was in the ring and Finn Balor came out to his original music and he was a babyface. Triple H should give Finn Balor his old music back.
Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer and Lyra Valkyria beat Fatal Influence
This was the main event of the evening. The women started the show and they will end the show. It was a match in which the cracks between Fatal Influence were seen. The 3 women legends were at their best and Lyra Valkyria was a late replacement for Tiffany Stratton. This match had many moments but the best one was when Stephanie Vaquer and Rhea Ripley did the Devil’s Kiss together. Booker T was loving it and Lola Vice helped the babyface legends to win the match. This was an unforgettable night for NXT.
